About the programme
Halting biodiversity loss, strengthening forest carbon sinks, restoring habitat types and protecting waters are challenging the practices of forestry. More and more forest owners are also looking for alternatives for managing their forests, and for justifications for those alternatives. In a multi-objective operating environment, silviculture must be developed into a creative and flexible tool for achieving and reconciling the many different goals of forest use.
