Low-carbon construction is the future Finland aims to be carbon neutral by 2035, and one third of Finland's greenhouse gas emissions come from construction, buildings and their use. Finland's national climate targets require emission reduction measures in the construction sector as well. There must be a shift from monitoring only the energy consumption of buildings to monitoring the carbon footprint of a building's entire life cycle.
